Overview

We were briefed by Artisan Coffee Co. to product a sophisticated, and luxurious design concept for a pair of advents calendars, one holding coffee pods, and the other coffee bags. The designs needed to reflect the brands understated premium appearance, and have imapct on the shelf, as these were due to be sold via their online channels and also Selfridges.

Premium packaging design for an ambitious coffee brand

We worked through design research and testing then concept after concept until we landing on something we felt was unique and ownable for Artisan Coffee Co. Using their signature bean brand icons we created a pattern that flowed between designs. We were able to use the negative space within this geometric pattern to bring the festive spirit in the form of a Christmas tree to house our logo. Executed in the brand’s vibrant and regal purple colour and finished with gold foil the calendars had such a high end feel to them.
